Email list and free resources

Erin King Physics respects your privacy. We collect your email address only when you voluntarily subscribe to receive free resources and updates. We use a double opt-in process, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Homework Help service

When you use the Homework Help service, we collect the information needed to fulfill the request:

• The topic or problem description.
• The student’s stuck-point message.
• The student’s name and email address.
• A photo of the student’s work.
• The payer’s email address, collected by Stripe Checkout.

How we use information

We use this information only to provide the service: to let the teacher review the problem, record the walkthrough, send service-related notices (confirmation, completed walkthrough link, receipt, refund notice), and keep required financial records. We do not use student problem content or images for advertising, training, or any purpose beyond fulfilling the request.

Who we share information with

We share data only with the service providers necessary to run the service:

• Stripe processes payments and sends receipts/refund notices. We never store card numbers or other payment-instrument details.
• Transactional email provider sends service-related emails such as confirmations, walkthrough links, and refund notices.
• The teacher sees the request details and work image through signed, private links in order to record the walkthrough.

We do not sell personal information to anyone.

Media retention and deletion

• Abandoned unpaid uploads: If a request is not completed and paid, the uploaded work photo is deleted within 24 hours.
• Paid requests: The work photo and completed walkthrough video are deleted 7 days after the request is completed or refunded.
• Signed links: Private download links expire and stop working when the underlying media is deleted.

Financial records

Basic transaction and refund records needed for accounting and tax purposes are retained for the standard accounting retention period. Card data is never stored by King Physics; Stripe maintains payment records according to its own policies and regulatory requirements.

Minors and guardian consent

Students under 18 must have a parent or guardian review our Terms & Refunds, consent to the service, and complete the purchase. The adult payer is responsible for ensuring the student has permission to share the problem photo and receive the walkthrough.

Your rights and choices

You can ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold by contacting us. Because media is deleted automatically after the retention windows above, we may not be able to recover files that have already been removed.
